Baker Hughes invites university students to join its 2027 Field Engineering Internship in Houston for 24 weeks starting January 2027. This program offers hands-on experience in field operations such as drilling, testing, and equipment maintenance, with mentorship, buddy support, and HS&E training.

Interns will work on internal projects to improve outcomes, collect and analyze field data, and develop practical engineering skills.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree in Engineering or STEM.
GPA at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
Willingness to relocate for the duration of the internship.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Complete internal projects to deliver customer outcomes and identify business improvements.
Collaborate with experienced engineers on field operations (drilling, well testing, equipment maintenance).
Collect data from field activities and analyze it to identify trends and troubleshoot issues.
Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure proper working order.
Maintain detailed records and documentation of field activities, inspections, and safety measures.
Apply Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards in all situations.
