Job summary

Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to support the Water/Wastewater Division in the Central Florida area. The successful candidate will work with the Project Superintendent and Craft Foreman to ensure successful completion of field tasks.

Responsibilities include assisting Foreman with structure layout, managing field purchase orders, preparing shop drawings, maintaining logs and schedules, identifying RFIs, and updating as-built drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical/Construction Management or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with field surveying and layout.

• Collect and assemble O&M material.
• Perform subcontract scope analysis.
• Assist with purchasing and expediting.
• Document distribution.
• Meeting minutes and distribution.
• Scheduling.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant degree.
