Job summary

ENTACT is seeking a Field Engineer to work closely with management and safety teams, handling QC, surveying, KPI tracking, and project execution support. The role requires self-motivation to meet deadlines and flexibility for sustained project-based travel across the US.

HAZWOPER training is preferred; a valid driver’s license is required. The ideal candidate will contribute to on-time, on-budget project delivery and collaborate with operations, subcontractors, and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams.
• Strong teamwork and ability to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Design, planning and communication skills that promote safe work and safe work products.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving/decision making skills.
• Highly motivated, with the ability to take the initiative.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• HAZWOPER 40 hr. training is highly preferred but not required.
• Experience with Trimble Business Center or AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred but not required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no driving restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site procurement activities including material requisitions and tracking deliveries.
• Process project documentation (daily/weekly reports, RFIs, submittals, change orders).
• Track schedules, ensure contract compliance, support PM and field PM to deliver on time and within budget.
• Develop construction figures from engineering sketches and field measurements using AutoCAD.
• Manage subcontractor billings and project budgets; provide financial reporting.
• Oversee contracts and purchase orders from drafting to closeout.
• Ensure activities and materials comply with design drawings and specs.
• Conduct initial and daily topographic surveys to calculate earthwork volumes.
