Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Field Engineer to contribute to energy infrastructure projects across the United States. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team on construction, safety, and cost-control initiatives, with opportunities for growth and relocation as projects require.

The role emphasizes field operations, project scheduling, and collaboration with owners and stakeholders, with a strong safety culture and travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Legal authorization to work without sponsorship
  • Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA standards
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and owner specs
  • Familiarity with project scheduling and cost control techniques
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, Pro Log or Primavera P6 a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a dynamic team to build, estimate, and schedule complex construction projects
  • Prepare detailed work plans and schedules for project execution
  • Ensure quality control, manage and track costs, procure and manage materials
  • Administer safety programs following the Nobody Gets Hurt philosophy
  • Foster strong relationships with owners and stakeholders
  • Support both admin and field operations: review drawings/specs, perform material takeoffs, prepare cost estimates
  • Supervise subcontractors and coordinate with vendors to uphold high construction standards
