Job summary

Garney Construction in Savannah, GA is hiring a Field Engineer to bridge the gap between the office and the field, translating plans into on-site actions and supporting the project team to keep work safe, efficient, and on schedule.

You will perform surveying and lay-out, review shop drawings, update as-built documentation, coordinate with subcontractors, and handle important project paperwork. Travel and flexible hours are expected to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Willing to travel and work the hours required to ensure project success.
• Entry-level project management interest or experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• On-site field work ensuring that the work meets engineering specifications.
• Handle important documents and ensure materials are received and stored correctly.
• Surveying and lay-out of the job site; update as-built documents.
• Coordinate subcontractor work and assist with daily project coordination.
