Garney Construction is seeking a Field Engineer to bridge the office and field teams on our projects in Ohio. You will translate information between office engineers and the crew on site to keep work progressing safely and efficiently.

Daily tasks include surveying and layout, reviewing shop drawings, updating as-built records, auditing construction progress, and preparing daily and periodic reports. Entry-level opportunity with travel and varied hours.

A Field Engineer position is available at Garney. As a Field Engineer , you will act as the glue that unites the team by translating the information between the office engineers and the team that is making the project come to life out in the field. Field Engineers know what is happening out on the field and have the ability to fill the gaps and support the team to ensure success and efficiency.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

You will be on the field day-to-day, ensuring that the work being done by our team and subcontractors meets engineering specifications. Other duties may include handling important documents and ensuring that the correct materials are being received and stored correctly.

• Processing and reviewing shop drawings
• Updating as-built documents
• Auditing completed construction
• Complete daily and periodic report updates
