Job summary

FlatironDragados invites college students to join the Intern Program Summer 2027 in Washington. Interns will assist on-site with project management, engineering staff, and field operations, applying classroom knowledge to real-world site activities.

Eligible candidates are pursuing Civil Engineering or Construction Management degrees at accredited colleges or universities, with duties covering field conditions, QA/QC support, and project scheduling. EEO/ADA/Veterans employer.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in Engineering/Construction Management program at an accredited college.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluation of field conditions and acceptance testing.
• Support quality assurance and quality control engineering materials testing.
• Apply survey knowledge to assist with project layout and checking conformance with plans and specs.
• Review project drawings and coordinate any design changes.
• Provide document control assistance for correspondence, submittals, design releases, etc.
• Initiate engineering design clarifications.
• Perform quantity tracking and productivity analysis for operation efficiency.
• Assist with preparing and updating project schedule and interact with scheduling decision processes.
• Respond to field for design clarification and manage subcontractors’ field operations and verify payments.
• Provide design assistance to the project engineer for the design of temporary structures using CAD tools.
