Job summary

FlatironDragados offers an Intern Program for Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Construction Management students. Interns apply academic training on real projects at various locations, supporting key staff and learning to interpret plans, manage documents, and assist with field design and scheduling.

Interns work under project managers and engineers, gaining hands-on experience in field conditions, QA/QC testing, and CAD-based design for temporary structures, with a focus on safety

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Strong willingness to learn field and office tasks.
• Ability to interpret drawings and work with on-site staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluation of field conditions and acceptance testing.
• Support quality assurance and quality control engineering and materials testing.
• Apply survey knowledge to assist with project layout and checking conformance with plans.
• Review project drawings and coordinate any design changes.
• Provide document control for correspondence, submittals and design releases.
• Initiate engineering design clarifications.
• Perform quantity tracking and productivity analysis for operation efficiency.
• Assist with updating project schedules and coordinating with scheduling decisions.
• Respond to field for design clarification and manage subcontractor field operations.
• Provide design assistance to the project engineer for temporary structures using CAD tools.
