Based in Waltham, MA, MEC Industrial relocates teams to active sites nationwide. Interns May–August will work full time, learn from experienced professionals, and build a foundation for a future in construction.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• Willingness to travel or relocate as needed for project assignments.
• Ability to work full-time during the summer (May–August).

Responsibilities

• Field engineering, operation planning, cost control, project scheduling, quantity tracking, material procurement, contract administration, and supervision of field activities.
• Perform engineering tasks using standard techniques and solve minor technical problems on construction sites.
• Maintain records on job progress, costs, material usage, and related data.
• Plan and schedule job segments to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Investigate problems and propose practical solutions or alternatives.
• Review plans and specifications to determine material requirements and pricing.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
