Job summary

FlatironDragados is seeking field engineer interns for the Sacramento area to apply academic training in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management. You will assist the project team on-site with plan interpretation, scheduling, and field testing to gain real-world experience.

You will rotate through tasks including quantity tracking, design clarifications, and document control, supporting senior engineers and ensuring work aligns with plans.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Engineering, Construction Management or a similar undergraduate program at an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluation of field conditions and acceptance testing.
• Support quality assurance and quality control engineering materials testing.
• Apply survey knowledge to assist with project layout and checking of work to conform with plans and specs.
• Review project drawings and coordinate design changes.
• Provide document control assistance for correspondence and submittals.
• Initiate engineering design clarifications.
• Perform quantity tracking and productivity analysis for operation efficiency.
• Assist with updating project schedule and coordinate scheduling decisions.
