Job summary

Weatherford is hiring an experienced Field Engineer for Liner Hangers in Odessa, TX. The role involves applying standard techniques and working at the well site with supervision at entry levels and leadership at senior levels.

Senior positions will guide junior engineers, troubleshoot complex issues, and interact with clients to ensure service quality and safe operations. Domestic travel may be required up to 10% and weatherford values safety and collaboration across the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• 2-5+ years of experience in Oil & gas industry; upstream experience preferred.
• Petroleum or Mechanical Engineer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in daily operations, safety meetings, toolbox, JHA, and reports issues promptly.
• Maintains equipment, facilities and work area in safe, presentable condition.
• Monitor and analyze data to recommend services and solutions.
• Performs job planning, preparation of tools & equipment, mobilization, job execution and submits all job-related data for invoicing.
• Available on 24 hours call basis to respond to customer needs.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
• Oversees field operation crew and mentors field personnel as needed.
• Performs engineering checks on client location, including hand calculations and software computations.
