Job summary

Hut 8 is seeking a Commissioning Field Engineer to support testing, verification, and turnover of critical infrastructure across data center portfolios. This hands-on role requires travel to active project sites and potential relocation to support projects.

You will execute commissioning activities for mechanical, electrical, and controls systems, document results, and coordinate with general contractors, vendors, and engineering teams to ensure readiness for operational turnover.

Qualifications

• Hands-on commissioning, startup, or field engineering in data centers or large-scale infrastructure.
• Ability to read construction drawings, single-line diagrams, and submittals.
• Experience coordinating with multiple trades on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Execute commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
• Document test results, deficiencies, and resolutions per commissioning plans.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and engineering teams to sequence activities.
• Verify installations are complete and compliant before testing.
• Maintain commissioning records and ensure safety compliance according to site plans.
