Job summary

NES Fircroft's client, a leading employee-owned construction contractor, is adding a Field Engineer to its project team. You’ll work closely with Project Engineers, Superintendents and design teams to contribute to major projects on site.

Ideal for recent grads or early career professionals with a civil/construction background who want hands-on experience and a clear path toward Project Engineer or Project Management roles.

Qualifications

• Degree in construction, civil engineering or related field, or equivalent field experience.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with multiple project stakeholders.
• Good understanding of drawings and construction documentation.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office.
• Interested in developing into a Project Engineer / Project Management professional.

Responsibilities

• Supporting RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and shop drawings.
• Assisting with project planning, cost control and budget forecasting.
• Supporting Superintendents with day-to-day field execution.
• Tracking progress, quantities and production where required.
• Helping resolve technical and construction issues on site.
• Supporting BIM coordination and as-built documentation.
• Working closely with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and project leadership.
