Job summary

McKee Utility Contractors, LLC is hiring Field Engineers for ongoing projects in the Austin / San Marcos area. This role supports water and wastewater construction with focus on layout verification, shop drawing interpretation, as-built documentation, and site coordination.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of field experience in related construction, be mobile and willing to travel, and communicate effectively with all project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-3 years of field experience in water and wastewater construction or heavy civil construction.
• Willingness to travel or relocate as required.
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with all Project Stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Verify construction layout to ensure accurate project execution.
• Review and interpret shop drawings.
• Manage as-built documentation collection throughout the project life cycle.
• Verify completed work to confirm adherence to plans and specifications.
• Prepare and submit daily logs and periodic progress reports.
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractor activities to maintain schedule and quality standards.
