Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to support Advanced Systems Integration in Orlando, FL. You will perform on-site maintenance, technical analysis, and training for M‑TADS/PNVS and FCR systems.

You will coordinate with customers and internal teams, ensuring mission-critical support while delivering high-quality technical service in a dynamic defense environment.

You will be the Field Engineer for the Advanced Systems Integration Team. Our team is responsible for technical analysis, troubleshooting, on‑site support, training, and coordination of Apache D/E‑Model M‑TADS/PNVS and FCR systems.

Responsibilities

What You Will Be Doing As the Field Engineer you will be responsible for delivering expert technical support and maintenance for mission‑critical avionics systems. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Perform technical analysis and implement modifications per customer specifications.
• Troubleshoot product issues and provide coordinated solutions to customers and internal teams.
• Deliver on‑site technical, maintenance, and supply support for M‑TADS/PNVS and FCR systems.
• Conduct technical training and product briefings for customers, vendors, and LockheedMartin personnel.
• Serve as the local LockheedMartin representative, ensuring seamless customer interaction.

This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to lift and move equipment or materials weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to climb on and around military aircraft and perform maintenance activities at elevated heights.
• Experience reviewing and analyzing wire-code (WC) procedures to troubleshoot and resolve field-related technical issues.
• Experience performing supply, inventory, material processing, or related logistics activities.
• Experience using computer-aided test equipment and standard electronic test equipment, including digital voltmeters (DVMs) and oscilloscopes.
• Experience preparing for and supporting customer meetings, reviews, or presentations related to reliability, Integrated Tactical Operations Center (ITOC), or other technical topics.
• Experience working with domestic and/or international customers to research and resolve technical questions or field issues.
• Experience developing, reviewing, or delivering technical training related to TADS/PNVS, FCR sensors, avionics, or similar military systems.
• Must possess an active security clearance.

Desired Skills

• Technical degree in electronics, avionics, engineering technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent applicable technical experience.
• Experience with U.S. military supply, logistics, or maintenance systems.
• U.S. Army 15Y AH-64 Armament/Electrical/Avionics Systems Repairer experience or equivalent military aviation maintenance experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to customers, maintainers, engineers, and leadership.
• Experience with military avionics, sensor, electro‑optical, infrared, or night vision systems.
• Hands‑on military aircraft flight‑line maintenance or field‑support experience.
• Experience troubleshooting aircraft electrical, avionics, sensor, or wiring systems.
• Experience working in a customer‑facing field service, technical support, or sustainment environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $59900.00 - $111300.00

• Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
