Job summary

Yellowjacket Oilfield Services, LLC seeks a Field Engineer to join our Midland team. The role directs on-site field operations, oversees crews, and ensures safety compliance while coordinating with the operations leadership.

You will interact with customers, promote our fishing, rental, wireline and thru tubing services, and may generate proposals and pricing as needed. Travel to sites will be required as business needing arises.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Supervisor/Engineer in field operations.
• Basic writing, math and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team under pressure.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to outdoors and extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct employees on location as directed by Operations Supervisor or District Manager.
• Provide day-to-day direction of personnel on location and in yard.
• Coordinate safe movement of personnel, equipment and products to customer locations.
• Train employees to follow SOPs and safety policies.
• Promote and sell Yellowjacket services and call on customers and prospects.
• Generate proposals and pricing as needed.

The Yellowjacket team prioritizes our employees’ safety and development while providing unparalleled expertise with superior quality service to our customers. We are currently seeking a Field Engineer to join our growing team in Midland.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the planning and direction of employees under direction of Operations Supervisor or District Manager. Coordinates necessary corrective action with Operations Supervisor and District Manager.
• Provides day to day direction of personnel on location and in the yard of assigned crew.
• Coordinate safe movement of personnel, equipment, and products to and from customer's location as per customer's requirements.
• Train employees to understand and comply with standard operating procedures and safety policies.
• Adhere to company policy and procedures.
• Ability to interface with customers in the effort to maintain positive customer relations. Responsible for planning and directing efficient activities and ensuring quality through the execution of service according to plan.
• Promotes sales of Yellowjacket product lines, i.e. fishing & rental services, wireline, thru tubing, etc. Call on customers and potential customers.
• Must be able to generate proposals and pricing as needed.
• Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies. Responsible for making safety performance and environmental awareness the primary focuses of all district employees.
• Must follow Yellowjacket standard operating procedures and safety policies; comply with company policies and other specialized equipment and safety training required by the company.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Previous experience as a Supervisor/Engineer in field operations
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s license and acceptable MVR.
• Ability to work independently and as a team with other crews, particularly when under pressure in situation where priorities change or emergency situations.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, twist, squat, crawl and walk; may have long periods of standing or sitting.
• Exposure to working outdoors and extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written.
• Basic writing, math and computer skills.
• Must have flexibility to work any schedule based on business needs and travel as job requires.
• Ability to clear/pass pre-employment screening, testing and job-relevant hiring requirements.
