Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a field engineer to participate in coordination and execution of field engineering activities, ensuring technical solutions meet project goals and quality standards.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to resolve challenges, improve construction processes, and promote continuous improvement on the project site.

Qualifications

  • Assoc. degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is required
  • 2–4 years of field engineering experience preferred
  • OSHA 30-hour construction safety certification preferred; within 6 months of hire required
  • First Aid and CPR certification required; ASHE/CHC or related certs preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with technical review and implementation of engineering plans, ensuring work meets project specifications and quality expectations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, field staff, superintendents, self-perform teams and subcontractors to address technical issues and keep the project moving forward.
  • Support site inspections and assessments, identifying potential risks and suggesting mitigation strategies.
  • Gather and organize technical documents to keep information accurate and up-to-date.
  • Recommend process improvements by analyzing field operations and suggesting methods or technologies to improve efficiency and quality, including prefabrication opportunities.
  • Share technical updates with project leaders and team members to keep everyone informed.
