Job summary

Power Design, Inc. is seeking a field engineer in Atlanta to gain hands-on experience on electrical installation scopes and support project deliverables from conception to commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Gain firsthand experience of electrical installation scopes on projects (decks, rough, trim, distribution).
• Support project deliverables throughout all construction phases, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Promote safety on site by recognizing hazards and implementing fixes.
• Coordinate schedules, labor forecasting, inventory, materials, and project correspondence with the team and vendors.
• Interface with customers and other trades while representing Power Design in the field.

About the Position

Power Design is a nationwide electrical contractor and our Field Engineers are working locally on our jobsites, cultivating their career by experiencing our projects firsthand. Under the supervision and mentorship of a Superintendent and project team, you will learn all of the business aspects of running large-scale construction projects. It is a perfect fit for motivated, driven individuals to quickly grow in the organization.

Position Responsibilities

• Gain firsthand experience of the electrical installation scopes of work including decks, rough, trim, and distribution.


• Play a key role in helping the project team succeed by providing support with project deliverables throughout all phases of construction, ensuring accuracy and quality.


• Help to continue and build our culture of safety onsite by recognizing safety hazards and ensuring corrections.


• Collaborate with senior team members, suppliers, and contractors to coordinate schedules, manage the labor forecast, inventory, material, and project correspondence (orders, timesheets, etc.).


• Interact with customers and other trades while representing the organization in the field.


• After receiving training in our state-of-the-art facility, utilize cutting-edge technology to assist on assigned projects.


• Serve as the lead between Systems PMs and Operations installation teams, playing a key role through final project startup/commissioning, AHJ inspection, and final owner acceptance.


• Be responsible for scheduling the low voltage startup, managing planned technician hours, and coordinating the technician and commissioning labor.
