Job summary

PNM Energy is seeking an Energy Tech 5 to perform construction, maintenance, and service tasks on electric lines in Texas. The role includes constructing overhead and underground lines, restoring service, troubleshooting, and ensuring safe operation of equipment.

Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining lines, training personnel, and being available for on-call work. Dispatcher or switchman duties may be required. A CDL and clean driving record are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with related experience in the discipline.
• Must possess a current Commercial Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Constructs new overhead and underground lines.
• Restores service and troubleshoots issues.
• Sets up service and maintains lines and apparatus.
• Operates and maintains equipment.
• Trains personnel and plans jobs.
• Available for on call duties and may serve as dispatcher or switchman.
