Job summary

Blanchard Machinery Company is seeking an Energy Field Engineer to commission and test CAT generator set installations at customer sites. The role requires strong customer communication, autonomous work, and deep knowledge of controls, wiring, switchgear, and power generation within challenging environments.

Applicants should have relevant industrial electrical experience, the ability to interpret schematics, and a proven record of working with CAT energy products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as Energy Technician or Journeyman/Master level Industrial Electrician preferred.
• CAT Energy Certified Analyst is a plus.
• Ability to read drawings and discuss projects with contractors/engineers.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a safe work environment while supporting company values.
• Interpret and design custom control schemes; develop schematics and operating instructions.
• Understand fuel systems, governing, excitation, and testing for engine-driven generators.
• Plan, estimate, and execute jobs following industry standards with safety and profitability in mind.
• Read electrical installation standards and applicable NFPA codes.
