Job summary

Humboldt General Hospital is seeking an EMT Basic to perform essential pre-hospital patient care under limited supervision in accordance with state and local EMS standards. The role requires active participation with EMS crews on 911 responses and inter-facility transports, while maintaining patient confidentiality and safety.

Ideal candidates hold NV EMT Basic and Attendant Licenses, with National Registry certification preferred, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Current NV State EMT Basic Certification and Attendant License.
• Current National Registry Certification (Preferred).
• Current Unrestricted Driver’s License.
• May require additional certifications listed below upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a member of an assigned crew for 911 emergency responses.
• Respond promptly to all 911 calls while on duty.
• Perform pre-hospital duties in compliance with state EMS rules and regulations.
• Contribute to safe patient care delivery and maintain a safe environment.
• Communicate with health care team and patients using various systems.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and inventory as needed.
• Assist with station cleanups and department operations.
• Follow infection control practices and standard precautions.
• Demonstrate clinical competency in assigned responsibilities.
