Job summary

ESPO Corporation is seeking a hands-on Electronics Equipment Test Technician in Chicago, IL. This onsite, temp-hire role involves setting up, operating, maintaining, and transporting proprietary testing equipment to third-party labs.

The ideal candidate will have electronics/mechatronics background, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to work independently at off-site facilities. Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Trade school certificate or Associate degree in Electronics/Electrical Technology/Mechatronics preferred.
• 1+ year experience with electronic, electrical, mechanical, or industrial equipment.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, assembly drawings and technical docs.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport testing equipment to labs and facilities.
• Assemble, install, and configure equipment at sites.
• Operate equipment during tests and ensure performance.
• Monitor functionality and troubleshoot issues in real-time.
• Perform preventive maintenance, adjustments, and calibration checks.
• Coordinate with engineers and testers for test execution.
• Safely transport equipment between locations.
• Maintain records of tests and maintenance.
