Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electronics Engineer 1 on a contract basis in Vancouver, WA. You will support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of telecom electronics across a large regional power transmission system.

The role requires extensive travel to remote field locations with a focus on digital radios, fiber optics, and network management systems. Responsibilities include field installation, documentation, and coordination with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Candidates within 3 months of graduation may be considered with degree proof after graduation.
• At least 6 months of electrical engineering experience (paid, unpaid, or training).
• Experience with components and facilities on regional transmission systems.
• Ability to install, troubleshoot, and integrate electronics and communication circuits.
• Proficiency in documenting in plans, reports, and equipment settings sheets.
• Proficient in Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Compile technical results in clear summary formats for staff and documentation.
• Perform engineering studies with guidance and document findings.
• Participate in teams that test telecom equipment for performance.
• Provide planning support and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Use telecom guides and standards to identify and correct variances.
• Conduct field research at remote sites for data collection.
