Job summary

PG&E is seeking a Journey-level Electrician to oversee applicant-installed facilities, including complex projects across commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

The role requires travel within PG&E’s service territory, adherence to safety rules, and the ability to drive and work outdoors in varying weather. Provisional hires may participate in targeted training to achieve journey-level knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience as Electrician or Journeyman; IBEW apprenticeship training completed.
• Knowledge of electric transmission and distribution concepts and regulatory requirements.
• Willingness to travel and work in varied job sites and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect Applicant-installed facilities including underground cables, transformers, switches, and splicing.
• Inspect complex projects across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and PG&E standards across service territory.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure on-site safety for personnel and public.
• Participate in safety tailboard meetings and ensure Right of Way compliance.
• Maintain QA/QC and as-built documentation on site.
• Coordinate with customers/contractors and PG&E workgroups to resolve obstacles.
• Set up meters and complete inspection paperwork.
