Job summary

Doppelmayr USA, Inc. is seeking multiple skilled Field Electrical Technicians to be based out of our Salt Lake City, Utah office. You will respond to electrical service requests and perform infrastructure upgrades for ski lift and gondola installations across the USA.

Responsibilities include diagnosing control problems, traveling to job sites, communicating costs and timelines, and wiring installations. A strong background in electrical systems and problem solving is essential.

Qualifications

• Formal electrical training is preferred.
• Clear understanding of PLC and relay logic control system design principles and practices including HMI.
• Clear understanding of AC and DC drives, control circuitry, and electrical circuit diagrams and symbols.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an electrical technician including diagnostics and repair; ski lift experience preferred but not required.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as computer proficiency.
• Physical ability to work in mountainous environments during any season.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
• Willing to travel up to 75% of the year.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose low voltage control problems over the phone.
• Travel to ski areas to perform on-site diagnostics and repairs in harsh winter conditions.
• Communicate estimated costs and timelines for repairs to customers.
• Install equipment and wiring for modifications and new installations.
• Log all services and report progress to Director of Customer Service.
