Basin Electric Power Cooperative is seeking a FIELD MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I - E&I-POWER DISTRIBUTION at the Dakota Gasification Company site in Beulah, ND. The role focuses on electrical maintenance across power distribution, switchgear, protective relays, and related equipment.

You will assist with preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This entry-level position requires foundational electrical knowledge and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology or HS diploma with ND apprentice program.
• Register as an apprentice and work toward an ND Journeyman license.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of plant electrical equipment.
• Repair and maintain electrical systems including power distribution and switchgear.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting of MV drives, motors, relays, and generators.
• Maintain safety compliance and operate within company regulations.
• Perform duties at Beulah, ND site and contribute to plant reliability when needed.
