Job summary

American Pump Repair & Service, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Technician to install, commission, troubleshoot, and service electrical control systems for water and wastewater projects.

The role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and supporting Service Technicians and Project Managers on site. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with control panel components, wiring, and electrical testing tools, and is capable of working independently or in a team to

Qualifications

Understanding of electrical theory and its application to a wide range of applications.
Ability to read wiring schematics for installations and troubleshooting.
Proficient with electrical testing equipment (multimeter, megohmmeter, amp meter) to diagnose issues.
Experience installing conduit, wiring, and electrical enclosures.
Experience installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting control panel components (breakers, relays, VFDs, PLCs).

Responsibilities

Install, commission, troubleshoot and service electrical control systems for water and wastewater industries.
Troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify and resolve issues.
Assist Service Technicians and Project Managers with service calls and projects.
Participate in new installations and rehab projects as needed.
