Job summary

Eckceptional Search, LLC is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist to support two industrial operations in North Carolina. This field-focused role emphasizes building strong relationships with employees and supervisors while advancing safety and environmental compliance.

You will lead on-site EHS programs, conduct inspections, manage incidents and corrective actions, maintain records and training, and prepare permits and regulatory documentation. Travel between sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of EHS experience in industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and environmental compliance requirements.
• Experience conducting inspections and investigating incidents.
• Willingness to work in outdoor industrial environments.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS compliance activities across both locations.
• Conduct field inspections, identify hazards, investigate incidents, and drive corrective actions to completion.
• Maintain safety programs, training records, compliance calendars, and required documentation.
• Support inspections, training, task training, and hazard awareness.
• Prepare and maintain required reports, permits, sampling records, manifests, and agency documentation.
• Lead or support safety committees, toolbox talks, employee training, and emergency preparedness.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, and leadership to build practical and proactive EHS programs.
• Serve as a key point of contact during regulatory inspections and follow up on findings and corrective actions.
