Job summary

Native Resource Preservation LLC in Minnesota (West Saint Paul or Marshall) is seeking an Ecological Technician to support restoration projects across the region. This full-time, non-exempt role involves boots-on-the-ground work—removing invasive species, applying herbicides, conducting prescribed burns, planting native seed, and restoring habitat.

Expect long hours outdoors in varying weather, travel up to 25% and a 90-day probation.

Qualifications

• Eligible candidates must be able to conduct habitat restoration activities including invasive species removal, herbicide application, brush and tree removal, prescribed fire, seeding, and native plant installation.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work long hours outdoors in extreme conditions and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Remove invasive species and apply herbicides as part of restoration plans.
• Conduct prescribed burns and plant native seed to restore habitat.
• Operate tools and equipment; perform routine maintenance and participate in meetings.
