Job summary

Intertek, a Nationally Recognized Testing Lab (NRTL) and leading provider of quality and safety solutions, seeks an E&I Inspector for Morgan City, LA. This full‑time role is part of our Technical Inspection Services team and offers a versatile career in industry services.

The E&I Inspector will review specifications, monitor electrical testing, witness or verify installations, perform factory acceptance tests, and manage records.

Qualifications

• Must be able to walk long distances
• Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
• Must be able to stand for extended durations
• Must be able to reach in all directions; good color vision
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold

Responsibilities

• Review of specifications, procedures and standards used on the construction site
• Electrical testing monitoring
• Inspection, witnessing or verification to establish quality of material, structure or system
• Factory acceptance tests of installations and equipment
• Monitoring electrical systems of plant equipment before and during installation
• Organization and implementation of record retention systems
