Job summary

Verdugo Strategies is urgently seeking Field Directors to hire, train, and coordinate canvassers for voter engagement on progressive issues. This is paid, full-time, temporary work starting immediately with an ending date in November 2026.

You will manage payroll/data, ensure data integrity, and use CRM tools (NGPVAN, Google Docs, MS Office) to support training and reporting. A valid driver’s license and reliable tech are required.

Verdugo Strategies is urgently seeking motivated Field Directors who have a vested interest in progressive issues. This is paid, meaningful work that allows you to empower the community through civic engagement, mobilization, and strategic advocacy.

As a Field Director, you will be the face of our mission: hiring, training and coordinating with Canvassers to effectively engage with voters on important issues.

We are looking to fill this position to start immediately

Compensation: $5,000 - $6,000

Job Status: Full-time, temporary; Starting Immediately, Ending November 2026

Requirements

Successful candidates:

• Have exceptional organizational skills of both people and information
• Treat people with care and dignity

• Can read, write, and understand English at a professional level to manage internal documentation, reporting, training, and management requirements
• Have high proficiency in learning and using new software programs quickly (e.g., CRM tools, voter databases, Google Documents, Microsoft office, and/or project management apps)
• Can manage payroll and data with high attention to detail
• Possess a reliable laptop and smartphone for regular professional communication and performing duties
• Possess a valid driver’s license

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in field tactics, message delivery, and/or community engagement, including previous experience using NGPVAN
• Recruitment and screening experience, including conducting interviews and hiring and training others
• Previous experience in community organizing, canvassing, or customer service is preferred but not required
• Experience working within progressive campaigns, non-profits, or community-based organizations
• Track record of hiring and training teams in a fast-paced environment
• Working proficiency in a second language is highly preferred and considered a significant asset
