Qualifications

• Must have one year of experience operating a directional borer, preferably in telecommunications.
• Previous rock boring experience is a plus.
• Willing to work outside in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload directional bore equipment securely.
• Operate horizontal directional drill equipment safely.
• Connect/stub-up conduit and wire as needed.

Skills

Ability to read and interpret engineering/construction prints

Knowledge of utility depths and placements

General knowledge of construction practices

Attention to detail

Interpersonal, communication and organizational skills

Ability to move materials/equipment weighing up to 80 pounds
