Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III - Field Service) in Green Bay, WI. You will perform maintenance and repairs on a range of complex rental equipment at customer sites, ensuring safe and professional service.

The role offers opportunities for growth into higher service technician levels and leadership within the service department. The position requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and 3–5 years of equipment repair experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Safety Sensitive position under company policies.

Responsibilities

• Safe maintenance and repair of complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; maintain service vehicle.
• Assist in training of lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) daily.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties as assigned.
