Job summary

National Tank & Equipment (NTE) is hiring a Mechanic for our Halethorpe, MD location. You will inspect pumps, engines, tanks, and related rental equipment, document conditions, and perform preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure readiness for rental use.

You will diagnose mechanical, fuel, electrical issues and provide field service, communicating findings and equipment status to the team. A HS diploma and 2–4 years diesel experience are required, along with a valid license, DOT physical,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2-4 years of diesel mechanic experience in diesel engines and related equipment.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; DOT physical required.
• Possess or can obtain TWIC card.
• Must provide personal tools and demonstrate mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Inspect pumps, engines, tanks, and related rental equipment; document condition.
• Complete preventive maintenance, repairs, and functional checks.
• Record labor, parts, findings, and completed work using work orders.
• Maintain tools, service vehicles, and work areas in good order.
• Diagnose mechanical, fuel, electrical issues; perform field service and communicate status.
• Ensure equipment is safe and ready for service; escalate complex issues.
