Barnhart is seeking a Mobile Crane & Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of heavy equipment, helping operations stay safe and efficient. You’ll work both in the shop and in the field, with on‑site and field service opportunities across the region.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of diesel or heavy equipment mechanic experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload without constant supervision.
• Must provide your own standard tools (specialty tools provided).
• Willingness to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance and diagnostics on diesel engines, cranes, trailers, forklifts, and more
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems, including onboard computer systems
• Work both in the shop and in the field, giving you a mix of stability and variety
• Operate independently, managing your day-to-day workload while collaborating with the team
• Travel occasionally to support field service needs
