United Rentals, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech IV - Field Service) to maintain and repair complex diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment.

You will travel to customer sites, document work orders, and assist in training lower level technicians while upholding high safety and customer service standards. This role offers growth within the Service Department.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with understanding of schematics/diagrams.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on equipment and tools.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer-owned equipment.
• Assist in training of lower level technicians.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) daily.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties as needed.

What you’ll do:

Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams Must own tools applicable to position Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs. This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
