United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, seeks a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech IV - Field Service) in Orlando. You will perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment with limited supervision in a safe, professional manner.

This role requires 5+ years of experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 45 lbs. Expect travel to customer sites, training of junior techs, and diligent documentation.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools.
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with schematics/diagrams.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed.

• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.

As a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech IV - Field Service), you'll use your skills to perform maintenance and repairs of complex equipment with limited or no supervision in a highly skilled, safe, and professional manner. This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.

What you'll do:

• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Must own tools applicable to position

• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
