Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. is seeking Field Data Technicians to join our team in the Oklahoma area. The role involves outdoor data collection supporting fiber optic facility design, with data submission including maps, notes, and images.

Starting pay is $24.50 per hour plus the potential for hourly bonuses, weekly pay, hotel expenses, a contract-specific pay increase, living allowance, and $4–$5 per hour untaxed reimbursement for vehicle usage.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical background preferred.
Basic knowledge of telecommunications or electrical distribution is a plus.
Knowledge of safety practices and ability to follow safety protocols.
Enjoy outdoor work in all weather and lift 15–20 lbs regularly.
Able to travel and follow GPS maps.

Responsibilities

Collect field data outdoors to support engineering and design of fiber optics.
Submit organized data including maps, notes, and images.
Operate tablet, digital camera, measuring tools, and PPE.
Represent Osmose professionally in the field.
Communicate daily with the project management team.
Work safely with minimal supervision.

Overview

Summary of Position

We are currently seeking candidates for Field Data Technicians in Oklahoma area!

Field Data Technicians will start at $24.50/hour plus opportunity for hourly bonus with weekly pay! Plus hotel expenses, contract specific pay increase, living allowance and $4-$5/hour untaxed reimbursement for vehicle usage.

Responsibilities

Work in an outdoor environment to collect field data that supports the engineering and design of fiber optic cable facilities. This will include measurements of attachment heights, span distances, angles, etc...
Submit organized, detailed data for each project that could include maps, field notes and digital images.
Operate and maintain equipment that would include tablet computer, digital camera, measuring tools and Personal Protective Equipment.
Work professionally in the field as a representative of Osmose and our customers.
Communicate effectively and on a daily basis with the project management team.
Work safely and independent of supervision.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical background preferred.
Basic knowledge of telecommunications and/or electrical distribution systems is a plus.
Knowledge of pole design including NESC requirements and general safety practices is a plus.
Enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather and have the desire to actively participate in physically demanding work lifting 15 to 20 lbs. on a regular basis.
Basic proficiency with computers including the ability to read, interpret and follow GPS maps.
Ability to follow process specifications and guidelines in an extremely high-quality, high paced environment.
Ability to travel and work outside in variable terrain and weather conditions.
Must have reliable transportation.
Excellent communication skills; both written and oral.
Present a professional appearance and attitude.
Demonstrate high work standards and attention to detail with a quality orientation.

Minimum 1 year of outdoor work-related experience
Minimum 1 year working in a role that required following a safety program or safety protocols (must provide details)
Minimum 6 months experience working in a quality-controlled environment (must provide details)
Minimum 6 months experience traveling to various work locations to include occasional overnight stays
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
