Qualifications

• Two years of related field experience (preferably civil trades).
• High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree substitutions allowed.
• Willingness to travel extensively and obtain TWIC within 3 months.
• Ability to use hand and power tools for measuring, cutting, and assembly.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in varied weather.

Responsibilities

• Research Operations: Safely operates university vehicles/vessels/machinery in support of field operations.
• Performs mobilization/demobilization tasks per lab procedures.
• Assists installation, maintenance, and operation of environmental data collection stations along the Gulf Coast.
• Uses hand and power tools for necessary work; deploys data collection systems and sensors.
• Performs field activities in extreme weather; may work from a vessel.
• Lab Processes: Calibrates sensors and follows SOPs for quality control.
• Assists in inventory, lab processes, sensor handling, and shipping.
• Teamwork & Collaboration: Builds relationships and communicates effectively across teams.
