Job summary

NASDA is seeking a part-time Field Enumerator to support agricultural data collection, offering a competitive wage and mileage reimbursement. The role emphasizes a flexible schedule, work-from-home capability, and involvement with the community you serve.

Enumerators interview farmers and rural businesses, travel to fields for crop counts, and maintain detailed records. The position requires reliable transportation and strong communication, with training travel up to 250 miles quarterly.

Qualifications

• Experience multitasking in an energetic, deadline-oriented work environment.
• Ability to positively represent NASDA and the benefits of enumerators in all survey actions.
• Ability to make crop counts in designated fields.
• Ability to maintain a reliable personal vehicle.
• Ability to conduct interviews in person or by telephone with farm operators and other individuals.
• Knowledge about computers or iPads.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs
• Ability to walk unassisted on uneven ground up to 100 yards
• Able to travel up to 250 miles on a quarterly basis for Training

Responsibilities

• Interview farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural businesses in person or by phone.
• Travel to designated fields to perform crop counts.
• Maintain and deliver detailed records of interviews, crop counts, mileage, expenditures, and hours worked.
• Work from a residence with a personal vehicle and flexible scheduling.
