Job summary

Terry Soot Management Group (TSMG) is hiring data collectors for a four-month project in New York City and surrounding areas. You will walk and drive to collect data, take photos and videos, and document field observations to help update maps.

The role requires reliability, route adherence, and collaboration with remote teams. A valid driver’s license, good English, and physical stamina are essential; schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day.

Qualifications

• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Plan, document, and communicate status on projects effectively.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and adjust work plans quickly.
• Aptitude for learning new technologies and tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness and ability to travel within city limits and region.
• Work on feet for several hours outdoors/indoor environments, up to 10 miles/day.
• Clean driving record and valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collect, extract and process data using proprietary software.
• Install and test hardware as needed.
• Identify recurring problems and collaborate to implement improvements.
• Raise dependencies and risks during operations while staying within schedules.
