Job summary

Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance Company is seeking a full-time Crop Adjuster based in Eastern Indiana. The role requires field inspections, map reading, and field measurements to document crop losses. You will travel as needed, discuss findings with producers, and support farmers to protect livelihoods.

A valid driver’s license and vehicle are required. The candidate should have 1–5 years in crop insurance adjusting or an agriculture background, with a high school diploma or GED; higher education

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associates and/or Bachelor's in business or an ag-related field preferred.
• 1–5 years of crop insurance adjusting experience or agriculture background preferred.
• Must be available to travel, climb heights, walk uneven terrain, and drive; valid license and own vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Understand and process claims for major crops and policy types.
• Explain regulations and claim processes to producers, agents, and staff.
• Maintain state licenses and certifications as required (e.g., CAPP if MPCI).
• Attend company-mandated training and travel for work-related duties.
