Job summary

Jobot is looking for an experienced Overhead Crane & Hoist Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial cranes and hoisting equipment at customer facilities. This field-based role demands strong electrical and mechanical skills, with direct crane experience preferred.

You may also have relevant motor-control experience and be willing to participate in an on-call rotation. The position requires working at heights, driving to customer sites, and documenting service

Qualifications

• 3+ years of crane repair and/or industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with industrial motors and electrical controls.
• Ability to work independently at customer locations.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Valid driver''s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to use standard hand and power tools.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair overhead cranes and industrial hoists.
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical equipment failures.
• Inspect crane and hoist systems for safety and performance issues.
• Troubleshoot single- and three-phase motor control circuits.
• Diagnose VFD, motor, brake, contactor, relay, and transformer issues.
• Repair pendant and radio-controlled crane systems.
• Support PLC troubleshooting when required.
• Perform equipment upgrades and modernization work.
• Complete detailed service and inspection documentation.
• Communicate repair findings and recommendations directly with customers.
• Maintain company tools, service equipment, and vehicle.
• Work safely at elevated heights and within active industrial facilities.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours customer needs.
