Job summary

Jackson Contractor Group is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to lead daily field operations, guide project teams, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence on commercial construction sites in Missoula. You will coordinate subcontractors, self-perform crews, and suppliers while maintaining strong client relationships and project integrity.

You will read and interpret contract drawings, manage CPM schedules, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand project documents including plans, specifications, and contracts.
• Strong understanding of labor, material, and subcontractor costs; ability to analyze reports for effective project management.
• Experience managing subcontractors and self-perform labor forces.
• Preferred experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and ASTA PowerProject.

Responsibilities

• Examine and interpret contract drawings, specifications, and addenda to identify design deficiencies, impractical details, and potential code violations. Ensure permits and licenses are obtained. Prepare daily reports and review subcontractor daily reports.
• Create and maintain a monthly CPM schedule and develop schedule recovery strategies to meet milestones.
• Develop and implement safety protocols, quality control procedures, site security, and equipment/manning plans with the project team.
• Inspect, coordinate, direct, and manage daily activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and Jackson’s self-perform crews.
• Review and approve subcontractor and vendor pay applications and manage all self-performed work.
• Lead weekly meetings with project staff, self-perform teams, subcontractors, and owners to review progress and upcoming activities.
• Lead and mentor project staff and craft workers, driving professional development and accountability.
• Support business development through proposals, interviews, networking, and outreach opportunities.
