Job summary

Kokosing is seeking a Safety and Health professional to provide field support and implement company and client safety policies on construction projects in Virginia. You will help reduce injuries, train personnel, and plan for hazards while maintaining high production and compliance standards.

The role requires a bachelor degree in Safety and Health, CHST certification, 5+ years in construction safety, strong OSHA knowledge, and the ability to lead safety meetings across teams including

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Safety and Health or equivalent.
• 5+ years of safety and health experience in construction.
• CHST certification required; ICS 300/400 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing strategies to reduce injuries and incidents.
• Provide training on safety and health requirements.
• Support pre-job safety planning and emergency response.
• Lead safety meetings and training programs.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Investigate injuries and incidents.
• Disseminate safety information and regulatory updates.
• Coordinate safety with subcontractors and vendors.
• Serve as liaison with OSHA and other authorities.
