Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking a Project Manager in Columbia, SC to join our program and project management team on a new higher education project in the construction phase. The role is client-facing and focused on delivering on schedule, budget, and quality through strong coordination with field teams.

Qualifications

  • Education: BS in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field.
  • 5+ years of field experience at the assistant superintendent, superintendent, or project management level in commercial construction.
  • Strong communication and ability to manage client relationships.

We are currently adding to a Project Manager to our team in Columbia, SC. In this client facing role, you will be working in the field with a Project Management team on a new build higher education project currently in the construction phase . Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and coordinate all aspects of the project schedule, scope, and cost.
  • Value Engineer the project by identifying opportunities for savings and ensuring material substitutions are equal.
  • Communicate with project stakeholders.
  • Evaluate documents and communicate the client’s specific goals and expectations to all project team members.
  • Develop and communicate action plans that will lead the project team throughout the project.
  • Re-evaluate the contract scope of work as the project progresses against the goals, expectations, and the needs of the client, and recommend adjustments as necessary.
  • Organize and maintain framework for project team processes and record keeping of electronic and physical documents.
  • Ensure the project design management continues to follow the client project documents such as budget, scope, schedule, and client's design standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Attendance at work during normal business hours.

Preferred Education And Experience

  • Education: BS in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field is preferred
  • Experience: 5+ years of field experience at the assistant superintendent, superintendent or project management level in the commercial construction industry

The salary range for this full-time role is $88,300.00-$117,766.68 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
