Job summary

Team Construction, LLC in Nashville, TN is seeking a Construction Laborer to support highway and heavy construction projects. You will operate hand and power tools, prepare sites, dig trenches, lay pipe, erect structures, and help crews meet safety and quality standards on demanding jobs.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work long hours, and travel within a four-hour radius of the home office.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of equipment operation, safety, and maintenance.
• Ability to read plans, specs, and safety/quality standards.
• Ability to detect unsafe conditions and correct them.

Responsibilities

• Execute job deliverables according to customer specifications and contract requirements.
• Ensure all project work complies with installation standards and safety requirements.
• Promote and monitor the safety of team members.
• Prepare sites to optimize construction work procedures.
• Clean debris, trash, and hazardous materials from sites.
• Load/unload equipment and materials; restock trucks with supplies.
• Prepare ground trenches; dig, spread, and level dirt and gravel.
• Assist in installing pipes/drains; measure/join/bed pipes.
• Erect temporary structures.
• Fill potholes to facilitate construction.
• Use hand tools to cut and shape materials as instructed.
• Identify utilities and hazards; protect crews from utility hits.
• Place traffic signs to warn traffic of construction.
• Signal operators to align/move machinery.
• Maintain equipment and company vehicles; follow safety protocols.
• Assist tradesmen in completing tasks safely and efficiently.
• Wear PPE as required for safety.
• Report safety incidents to Foreman or Supervisor.
