Job summary

CTL Engineering, Inc. is hiring Construction Inspectors and Material Testing Technicians at all experience levels to support vertical construction projects across OH. Ongoing mentoring and training are provided.

Projects are within a two-hour radius of Columbus with day shifts, occasional Saturdays, and potential after-hours work. A company vehicle or mileage reimbursement is offered to assist site operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering, construction, testing and inspection principles.
• Knowledge of materials and lab testing methods.
• Understanding of construction or engineering services and quality control.
• Ability to perform testing and lab reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to perform field testing on construction sites.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Ability to work independently and provide status updates.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction inspection and materials testing for vertical construction projects.
• Test and inspect concrete pours, rebar placement, and soils placement.
• Inspect and sample construction materials for compliance.
• Compute data, plot results, and draw simple graphs.
• Assist engineers in field during investigations and testing.
• Prepare project records and site reports.
• Notify contractor or project engineer of non-conforming work.
