Job summary

Whitestone Associates, Inc. is a geotechnical and environmental consulting firm seeking a field inspector to perform on-site testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and steel; coordinate with project managers; and travel to construction sites.

Requirements include 2+ years in field inspection, with geotechnical/environmental investigations preferred; certifications: Nuclear Density Gauge Operator, ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1, and at least one DCA certification.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in field construction inspection and testing.
• Prior experience with geotechnical and/or environmental field investigation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of construction materials (soils, concrete, asphalt, and steel).
• Communicate with project managers and sub-contractors regarding inspection, observation, and testing results.
• Transport samples for laboratory analysis.
• Prepare field data and technical reports.
• Travel to various construction sites to perform inspections.
