Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Entry Level Construction Inspector to support a NYCDEP project located in Yonkers, NY. You will assist the CM team with field office duties and inspect construction activities as needed, both in the field and at the site.

The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree, be able to communicate effectively, and pass a site background check. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential for reports and presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or University Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 10-Hour OSHA Construction Training.
• Commercial or industrial hands-on construction experience.
• Previous experience with field engineering, construction management, and construction oversight.

Responsibilities

• Update conform drawings per RFI responses and change orders.
• Develop and use Excel for tracking of equipment utilization, materials, manpower for change orders.
• Complete field inspection reports in e-Builder.
• Manage inspection photos and documents on the CM SharePoint site.
• Assist with preparation of Monthly Reports and Monthly Construction Progress Meeting presentations.
• Assist with day-to-day CM Team activities as required by the Construction Manager and Resident Engineer.
• Work with the CM Safety Team tracking safety performance.
• Participate in meetings and develop meeting minutes.
